Dato Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen visit Tun Lim at hospital

GEORGE TOWN: Former Penang chief minister Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu’s list of well-wishers included Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen who paid him a visit at the Penang Hospital.

She went with Penang police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Wira Ayub Yaakob yesterday, spending about 15 minutes with the Gerakan co-founder and his two sons, Chien Aun and Chien Cheng.

“Tun Lim is a political leader whom we all deeply respect. His sons have informed me that his condition has not changed much since he was admitted 10 days ago, but we hope and pray that his health will improve,” Dr Ng told reporters.

Thanking hospital staff, she said Dr Lim was receiving the best medical care and treatment available.

The Penang MCA chief also extended the good wishes of all MCA leaders and members to Dr Lim and his family.

Dr Lim, 91, was admitted to the hospital on Oct 26 after suffering from a stroke.
