“Confused Knight’ wins award
A PENANGITE took home the coveted ‘Best Blogger’ award in the 2010 Mybloggercon award.
Vincent Yu, 35, from Bukit Mertajam said he did not expect to win as he was only doing what he loved. “I have been blogging about Malaysia’s current issues since 2006. Other than blogging, I also promote Malaysian Chinese blogosphere through gatherings and other fun activities mostly in the northern region,” he said after receiving the award. Yu, who blogs in Chinese, is known in English as “Confused Knight.”
Mybloggercon chairman Jeremiah Foo said the award was given to Yu because the judges were able to see his passion and commitment in reaching out to bloggers and encouraging interaction
.
Mybloggercon was formed by a group of avid Malaysian Chinese bloggers because the wanted to interact with each other beyond the confines of their computer screens. The award ceremony on Saturday was one of the highlights of the BlogFest.Asia conference in Penang from Friday to Sunday. The Mybloggercon award, now in its fourth year is an award that recognizes outstanding Malaysian Chinese bloggers.

The conference, held at the Wawasan Open University, saw more than 100 participants from the Asian region showing up for workshops, talks, and a Penang heritage tour.
